When shadows fall on quiet rooms,
And harsh words spark in heavy air,
I take a breath to quiet doubts,
And meet the moment with a prayer.
I will not let my anger rise,
Nor let defensive voices grow,
For gentle answers soften hearts,
And patience lets the truth bestow.
If I have stumbled, I’ll admit,
And listen well to what is said;
With calm respect and steady grace,
I’ll walk a peaceful road instead.
I gather facts and choose my words,
To speak with clarity and care,
Or step back softly for a while,
To let the tensions clear the air.
My hands will serve with steady pride,
My heart anchored in faithful grace.
Through humble strength and honest dialogue,
We build goodwill within this space.
If distance stays and walls remain,
I’ll ask for help to clear the view,
Trusting that kindness, truth, and peace
Will guide us both to start anew.
