HONG KONG (SE): To mark the 80th anniversary of the Diocese of Hong Kong, a youth-led musical event took place on April 11 at the Caritas Community Hall, featuring drama, dance, and music. With 180 student performers and an audience of nearly 500, the musical revolved around a cross-generational narrative that connected the choices faced by youth in different eras, from the resource-deprived post-war period to the economic boom of the 1980s and the contemporary age of information overload. The central theme was that current achievements stem from the courageous dreams of past generations, showing the importance of planting seeds for the future.

The evening concluded with a half-hour of prayer led by young people, followed by blessings from Cardinal Stephen Chow, S.J., Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing as well as the clergy present.
Art and snack stalls prepared by Caritas and various Catholic groups were also set up before the show, adding to the lively atmosphere of the event.
Organised by a diocesan preparatory committee, the event received support from secondary schools, the Diocesan Youth Commission, and the Catholic Education Office.
