Condolences from the prior of the Taize Community over the Wang Fuk Court fire

Dear Cardinal Stephen

Having heard the tragic news of the inferno that engulfed the flats in Taipo, I wanted to express our solidarity with you all in Hong Kong.

Last night during our evening prayer we prayed with all the young people present in Taizé at the moment for the victims and their families and also the people who are still missing. We pray for the rescue and medical services as well.

May the Holy Spirit console and comfort all who are experiencing pain and loss at this time, and give strength to those who come to their aid.
