I can promote spiritual formation in our community by organising regular meetings, educational workshops, service projects and open dialogue sessions, using technology for outreach, inviting inspirational speakers, encouraging reflective practice and leading by example. By implementing these strategies, I can create a supportive and enriching environment that fosters spiritual growth and a deeper sense of community.

Spiritual formation is about entering into a life with God. Allowing God’s plan for your life to work through all the trials and challenges that come our way. Encourage others to participate in the Eucharist, share and practice the values and teachings of the Church, and uphold our mission in building spiritual activities in our group. Evangelise and share the Good News with others. To be a model for others by putting into practice the Lord’s teachings as we serve the Lord, so that we can encourage others to share their talents and grow deeper in their faith and spiritual formation.

James 1:2-18 teaches us to persevere in following God’s plan through the trials and challenges of our lives and to live a Spirit-filled life — that is, to learn to be aware of and listen to God’s Spirit who lives in all followers of Jesus. We can nurture our fellowship through perseverance, humility and, above all, prayer.

As a promoter of our Apostleship of Prayer Group, we have to adhere to our group’s rules and regulations to avoid misunderstandings. We need to be open-minded to suggestions and accept fraternal corrections if so called. Most of all through our actions, we reflect our community and in this way we can promote our group. Actions speak louder than words.

Promoting spiritual formation in my community is by having positive attitude, such as being happy and joyful. We should manifest good character by being humble and calm. Encourage everyone to focus on deepening their relationship to God and we should practice generosity and compassion to others. “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works” Hebrews 10:24.

As a leader of a community in our parish, I believed, each one of us in our community needs spiritual formation. I can promote spiritual formation by explaining to them that it helps us reclaim our relationship with God, it is the formation of the inner beings of each one of us, and might result in transformation of our minds, hearts and spirit. It helps us refocus, reenergize, and recommit our daily lives to the primary objective of getting to know God more and learning from Jesus’ teachings and life to build faith and understanding together. Most of all, we should be a living example of what we are promoting.
