As I reach to turn out the light
I say a goodnight prayer for you all
May God keep you always in his sight
And lift you up whenever you fall.
May Angels watch over those who are ill
Especially little ones who suffer
May all be safe and blessed until
We wake and peek from under the covers.
Sleep tight and God bless each of you
I hope that a thought for me you’ll spare
I pray that grace will see you through
